KYEEMA RIDGE MS BLACK SHADOW
Albeit overfed in this yearling photo, Shadow is a long, doe with an uphill profile, strong general conformation, and excellent dairy character. We especially prize her flat boning, spring of ribs, and closely-spaced long teats. Photo at Age 15 Months.

Shadow is an elegant doe whom we prize for both her conformation and udder strengths. Pedigree-wise, she brings in the Rosasharn genetics that carry dairiness and production potential while adding a bit of an outcross on the top. She first-freshened with an absolutely lovely udder in 2012: soft, collapsible, productive, good-sized and plumb teats, and it's just gotten better with her subsequent lactations. Shadow has two full sisters at Kyeema Ridge who are just as nice: Desi Belle, 2016 LA-90 VVEE, and Madison Blues, 2014 LA-91 EEEE as a third freshener, so there is a lot of consistency produced from her parental cross. Although Shadow is doe that we consider a top show prospect in our competitive region, she was so miserable at her first show in 2015 that we've decided to let her stay home and prove her value through her progeny. Her offspring have not disappointed us and we presently have two daughters and a 2018 son in our small herd.
2019 BREEDING PLANS: Shadow has been bred to Kyeema Ridge Irish Heartbeat. We intend to retain all doe kids because this breeding will be her last before a well-earned retirement.
DAWNLAND TABBY'S WHIRLABOUT
Whirlabout as a Yearling, showing off her long and level body. She epitomizes the refinement and elegance that we are selecting for in our foundation goats.
DAWNLAND TABBY'S WHIRLABOUT--A beautiful girl, getting prettier by the day. Her dam was one of our favorite does, consistently producing handsome sons and elegant daughters. Whirlabout's littermates went on to serve as herdsires in Canada and at Kyeema Ridge Farm in Michigan. Pictured as a three year old second freshener.

Whirlabout combines the genetics from two of our foundation goats, with her sire and dam consistently having produced signature animals who showed refined conformation and strong mammary systems. She is long-bodied and level with flat bone, overall a very elegant girl. When she freshened, it was immediately evident that Whirly was another keeper doe. Her first fresh udder was exactly as we hoped: very snuggly attached, strong medial, high and wide rear and, yes, those large teats from her dam. As well, she's proven to be a remarkably productive doe, given her petite size and once-daily milking through Winter 2013-14. We are very pleased with her second freshening as well: absolutely gorgeous boys--refined, dairy, long-bodied; and an udder that looks even better! Whirlabout's third freshening, in 2015, validated all the good qualities we've enumerated: beautiful kids, an udder that's gotten even better, and her first GCH/BOB when she was shown in her very first ADGA show! 2019 BREEDING PLANS: A repeat of an outcross breeding to Poppy Patch JC Royal Rebel is planned. His genetics represent strong, sturdy animals with capacious, well-attached udders and lots of milk, qualities which complement Whirlabout's refinement, as seen in the 2016 kids produced by the same pairing. All does and the first buck will be retained.
DAWNLAND MOHAWK'S ANGEL EYES
DAWNLAND MOHAWK'S ANGEL EYES--Pictured "on the move" as a second freshener. This girl has continued to mature beautifully. Her maternal genetics are very consistent for lovely mammary systems: her dam, her dam's two full sisters, and two maternal half-sisters so far (Dawnland Tabby's Bengaline, Dawnland MNCH A Little Bling) have beautiful udders.

As she has aged, Angel continues to develop a deeper body and more udder capacity while retaining her signature dairy character.

Probably the nicest kid of our 2013 season, Angel has matured beautifully. Like all of our Mohawk offspring, she is long-bodied and shows a mix of "refined but strong", which pretty much epitomizes the look that we have selected for in the Dawnland herd. We love Angel's dam, who has one of the best udders here (as well as exquisite dairy character.) Our very high hopes for Angel, as she has matured with further freshenings, have been realized: her promising first udder increased in capacity and she shows an ability to maintain a consistent production level too. Just a beautiful doe all around, and very easy on the eyes too!
2019 BREEDING PLANS: Angel has been bred to Harley Hillside iHeart Red Ale*B. Red has a solid pedigree for production--his dam is an SGCH who produced 1200+ pounds during her second freshening--beautiful udders, and strong, genetically prepotent show animals.

2018--Triplets: Doe/2 Bucks (Harley Hillside iHeart Red Ale*B)
This girl is a combination of some of our very best genetics; in fact, we so valued both her sire and dam that Sun Singer's breeding was repeated again. Sunny's sire is son to our most credentialed Water Tabby+*S daughter: SG Zing*D 1*M AR. Soleil has produced beautiful kids, including a daughter at Sweet Garden Farm in Maryland, who not only beat out 50+ juniors for her CH, but freshened in 2013 with a very nice udder (and huge teats!) Sunny's dam, now deceased--who vied for the top udder here--was a daughter of our herd's foundation doe, TX Twincreeks WDF Butterfly Dance. Butterfly's lines proved to be very consistent for quality with multiple freshened daughters showing excellence in both general conformation and udder structure. Sunny first freshened as an aged doe at four years--our fault due to juggling time constraints--and her udder replicates that of her dam, Dawnland Curry's Vocalise. As Sunny has matured, we appreciate both her mammary system and her dairy character: like her granddam, Butterfly Dance, Sunny shows soft loose folds of skin, flat boning, and refinement.
2019 BREEDING PLANS: Sunny has been bred to the most consistent buck we own: Poppy Patch JC Royal Rebel, who is linebred on the classic Bay Watch/Nonpareil cross. Rebel has three freshened daughters so far and all of his udders show high full rears, capacity, strong medial, and good-sized plumb teats.
